solar power generator
There is now a completely portable (and ultra-high efficient) solar power generator which produces up to 1800 watts of household electricity on demand when you need it most. News of this “solar backup generator” (it’s the first “off-the-grid” breakthrough in 50 years) is spreading like wildfire all across the country!

Solar powered backpack
When Australian hiker, Shayne McQuade found himself
frustrated with his solar charger while trekking in Spain, he used the things
around him as a builder to create a solar-charged backpack. That DIY prototype
led to the birth of Voltiac systems. Today, Shawn’s products are made mostly of
recycled plastic bottles. His solar chargers and charging bags come with a
range of adapters so that you can recharge just about anything you have in your
electronics collection. Now you can charge your electronics with the sun and
save energy.

Electronics were the most purchased items over the
Thanksgiving weekend, with nearly half of all shoppers buying technology,
according to interim results from the Black Friday Weekend survey by the CEA
and Caravan. The survey showed that nearly 118 million people shopped over the
weekend (Thursday through Monday). And nearly half of shoppers (46 %) who
bought electronics purchased their device online. I thought that was a pretty
cool fact because I bought a lot of electronics on friday.

The electric Jaw Saw is a terror for wood but safe for the person who is using it. Its metal jaws leave only a small amount of its the chain exposed lowering the risk of contact with the user’s body as well as preventing kickback and chain damage when it’s sawing things on the ground. The steel teeth can lock onto a piece of wood of up to four inches in diameter to increase stability while the chain rips through it.This is going to be a useful tool for construction workers.

Robotic sailboats built to clean up oil spills
In April of last year a semi-submersible Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, killing 11 men, injuring 17 others and triggering what is generally recognized as the largest unforeseen marine oil catastrophe since people started drilling for oil. By the time the leak was capped in July 2010, enough oil to fill 4.9 million barrels covered the Gulf in a toxic slick. After visiting the oil spill in June 2010, Cesar Harada decided to leave MIT in Boston to develop an open source oil spill cleaning robot.I think that these robots will help clean the Gulf

Micro air vehicles[ MAVs] make for an exciting option for intelligence and other agencies looking to secretly gather information or send surveillance gadgets without being discovered. But MAVs are usually modeled after small birds or insects they are descently unstable in flight and difficult to move in cluttered places. The Pentagon is handing out research papers to make the little robotic bugs more stable by making them more bug-like.

China Launches Its First Space Station Module Into Orbit
At 9:16 a.m., China successfully sent its first inhabitable space station module into orbit on the back of a "Long March 2F" launch vehicle from the China 's Jiuquan Satellite Space Center in the Gobi desert, marking a milestone for both the People’s Space Program and for the Party’s geopolitical ambitions. China - the third nation (behind the U.S.A. and Russia) to independently launch manned missions into space aboard homegrown technology - now joins the old Cold War powers as the third nation to put a space station into orbit.

Roll Laptop
Scientists at the University of Cambridge have developed a really cool, shape-changing laptop, which has a roll-up screen, re-usable packaging, roll-up keyboards and self-erecting, temporary habitat. These structures, also known as 'morphing' structures, afford multiple configurations without the need of complex parts or sophisticated manufacturing. Check out more@www.sciencedaily.com
